Today’s word is “finish.”


Everything has a finish. Most people don’t like to think about it, but smart investors and smart gamblers do. If you stay in the game too long, you lose. It’s that simple.

Instead, you set specific targets up front and once you reach them, you cash out. Some stock market players place sell orders at the same time they make a purchase. They specify both the purchase and sale price in advance, knowing how much they want to clear.

Business owners need an exit plan. There always comes a time when emotionally or physically or financially you just can’t keep it going. You need to know when and how to wind it down.

Life needs an exit plan as well. There will come a time when you can’t care for yourself, as harsh as that sounds. Who’s your caregiver going to be? How can you cushion the burden they will face?

Living life to the fullest isn’t about denying reality. It is about removing unnecessary stress and living your complete life as gracefully as possible.

    • Knowing and accepting are two different things. If you accept that death is as normal as breathing, then you can treat it calmly and with clarity. However, few people appear to be able to do that, or only reach that level of clarity when its too late to do anything.
