You need to ask the right questions

A new survey from Leapfrog, a company that rates medical facilities, finds that 30% of doctors involved in surgery in ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) are NOT board certified in the work they are performing. That includes anesthesiologists, by report the most error-prone area of US medicine.

Isn’t that something you should check?

A lot of people assume that when they go to a doctor about a problem, particularly if the doctor presents him or herself as an expert, that they will be certified in that area. Apparently, that’s not always the case.
